Optional Insulation
Optional insulation is available for the 1240 Series. This feature primarily helps reduce condensation ("sweating") in humid environments and provides a radiant barrier that's particularly effective for doors in direct sunlight. In testing, insulated doors measured approximately 30° cooler on the interior surface than non-insulated doors when exposed to direct sunlight. While the insulation offers some temperature benefits, it's important to note that full climate control requires comprehensive building solutions, as the doors are not completely sealed due to necessary guide clearances.
