SteelBlue Building Components Launches Commercial Roll-Up Door Line
SteelBlue Building Components, the Pittsburgh-based manufacturer known for self-storage door systems, is now offering a full line of commercial roll-up doors. Three series are available now: the 1270, 1240, and 1250.
All three doors share a common foundation. Each uses a 26-gauge, Grade 80 prepainted steel curtain with 5/8" ribbed corrugation, a 6063-T6 aluminum bottom bar, 14-gauge galvanized steel guides with durable PVC wear strips, 1/4" commercial T-brackets, and a 12" diameter 16-gauge drum on a dead axle configuration. Every door comes with a three-year warranty, a 35-year no-fade paint guarantee, and 40-year film integrity.
The differences between the three models come down to guide width, headroom requirements, and wind load needs.
The 1270 is the flagship of the commercial line. It features a 3.5" wide 14-gauge guide with 24" of headroom and is configured for large clear-opening applications like boat and RV storage, marinas, parking structures, and agricultural buildings. It supports 4:1 or 8:1 chain hoist operation and optional motor drive.
The 1240 is built for workshops, equipment storage, and flex-industrial spaces. It features a 2.0" wide 14-gauge guide with 24" of headroom and is a straightforward, reliable choice for standard commercial applications.
The 1250 adds 12-gauge J-clip wind locks and a windbar in the guides for enhanced wind resistance. It shares the 3.5" wide guide profile with the 1270 and is the right fit for applications where exposure and load performance are a consideration.
All three series are manufactured at SteelBlue's Georgetown, Kentucky facility and are available in a variety of colors. Insulated options are offered across the line.
